PROCUREMENT/SOLICITATIONS
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to submit bids for all procurement and vendors/manufacturers are encouraged to procure goods and services from disadvantaged business enterprises. All participation of DBEs should be described in detail in bidder's proposals. If the prime vendor or any subcontractors are DBEs that are certified by the South Carolina Department of Transportation, documentation of such a certification must be included in the bid at the time of submission.
Santee Wateree's Proposed DBE Goal for FFY 2023-2026 is 1%.
The proposed overall goal and its rational are available for inspection during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm) for 30 days which will end on July 13, 2023 at 129 S. Harvin Street, Sumter, SC 29150. SWRTA and DOT will accept comments on the goals for 45 days (ending on July 28, 2023). Comments can be addressed to the Attn: DBE liaison, PO Box 2462, Sumter, SC 29151 or info@swrta.com. We will begin using our overall goal on October 1 of each year unless we have received other instructions from DOT. If we establish a goal on a project basis, we will begin using our goal by the time of the first solicitation for a DOT-assisted contract for the project.
